lol it does sound a bit test-like but I'm sure it will be really good and you will be able to relax into it after the first ten minutes. (well seen it's not me doing that part tomorrow eh ;) )

I am looking forward to the assessement ride though - find all my bad habits and get them sorted out :)
 
having never actually ever stopped in Jackton and only driven through it in past years I am assuming that you can't miss the training facility building ?? I haven't a clue where it is :confused: :confused:

Amy is here tonight trying to register on the site and she says you can'tmiss it. Straight through Jackton from Eaglesham, new roundabout, take right exit and it is well signposted. :D

bikesafe course this morning was good - Police were great, paramedic was brill and Colin Duthie, one of the speakers, is an amazing guy and I can only hope and pray that none of us find ourselves in his position this year :hail:

looking forward to the assessed ride now in the next couple of months.
 
Course was great and really made me think when I was out riding with my daughter this afternoon. :)

As Lynn said, really looking forward to the ride out with the police. :D

Out with the police!

Just thought I would let you all know that I went out with John (the policeman) on Wed eve 31st July, We headed out from Motherwell police station about 6.30PM with another gent on his GSXR 750 for out assesment. To cut a long story short we got back about 10ish to the station and it was something I cannot recommend highly enough! John was fantastic, a very nice chap and certinaly made a difference on how I will think/ride in the future, we were both a bit tense at the start, but after a breif ride out he had a chat with us and put us at ease, after that it was very easy to learn and take in any advice he gave.
The weather was not the best but we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and learned a few helpfull tips!
Once again, if you have not been on the bikesafe course yet, or it was a few years ago, then sign up for next years ASAP!!! :cool:

Would that be Colin Duthie from the Blairgowrie and District Club? I met him a few years ago on the Masher, good rider, nice guy. Is there a story here?

No it's a different Colin Duthie RJ. This Colin lost his leg in a motorbike accident 22 years ago and almost died ... he was a total inspiration. In May he completed a sponsored climb of Ben Nevis.
