No, unfortunately not the type we all know and love so well...please though, help yourself to whatever you're having while you read this

Parcelforce decided to deliver the new clip-ons today…so much for a guaranteed Saturday delivery eh!

I fitted them and then went for a ride to test them out. I really love the look of them, but blardy hell, it’s a completely different ride now. I’m not sure whether it’s just something I’m going to have to learn how use properly, or whether they’re a bad idea full stop! These one’s are much (much) shorter, lower and angled more towards the tank…they look almost like a sbk.

I cannae tell you number of little scares I had trying to corner the thing

Hmmm...tomorrow’s track night is going to be interesting heh  :D

That's yur turnin circle fecked pal. If your havin difficulty now you best take it easy the mora. If you were happier with the ones Derek gave you get them.

Did you have to drop the yokes down the forks to fit them ? As you look to have an awfull lot of fork showing

The yolk is where Charlie (Ducati Glasgow) set it a couple of weeks ago. There's about an inch of fork rising above the yolk.

Tam, do you mean the extremes that the bars can turn? They still turn to the maximum that I had with the original bars, and Derek's.

Are you hunched further forward or back. From the pic it looks like your bars will hit the tank before the stop.

Hunched? Hey you've seen the "7ft giant" straddling his wee monster, trying to fold his legs into the most unnatural positions :D :D :D

There's a bit of clearance before they hit the tank...not much but they make it.

Mate...I hold my hands up in complete ignorance. I've only been riding for 4 months, and I'm here to learn everything I can from folks like yourself :hail: :)

Good idea...actauuly it would be great if someone who really knew how to ride a bike was to have a shot on her. I'm sure the problems are pretty much all down to the numpty sitting on her, but it would be interesting to get some objective feedback.

Wish i could help mate but i'm still grounded fur a week:(

Hi Niall,

I presume that like most clip-ons they just clamp to the stanchion, so you can just loosen the clamp and rotate them forward a bit . But looking at the pic it looks like the forward limitation on the bars is the instrument cluster mainly because they are extended forward away from the stanchion so much.
If you prefer mine I'm easy to negotiate a deal. I'm sure that Spareshck will take the ones you don't like back, especially after that shocking delivery from Parceforce, who should be providing a refund.

simple piece of advice eonan, stop fecking about with it so much and ride the thing and get used to it first then try playing about with it ;)

Quite right Eonan. If your not comfortable on the bike you won't be confident on the road. Gordon's just winding you up.
He'll be bored in the shop with no customers, having scared them all off by taking the p1ss out of them. ;)

gord does have a point though, from what I've heard you do need to get out and ride - it's the only way you'll learn. set up and alterations can come later.:D

Niall,

ignore the lot of them - they're only jealous that you are much taller than they are!!! ;) ;)

you fiddle with as much as you like - Judy is your special thing and needs to look right to YOU and you only Feck them!! ;)

I can't leave my Imola alone either
