Above event near Kirkby Lonsdale. Speed hill climb for motorcycles, all classes, modern stuff, post vintage - solo's, outfits. John McGuinness will be there this year:)

Practice: 9.30

Racing :1pm

Yep, a fantastic day out, looks like I will probably be 'Trackside' with the camera, so gimme a shout if you see me !
 
Awesome day at Barbon, some good close times and friendly faces - absolute clas though was the 'Frank Bird Poultry' van turning up and rolling the Paul Bird Motorsport World Superbikes out of the back, onto a muddy field in Cumbria !

John McGuinnes was a top bloke as always and I am not sure if it is a scoop but he will be taking Josh Brookes' ride on the Superbike and the next few rounds after Brookes' ban.

Sorry I missed you Ian - I did look!! As you say, a great day. Spoke to John McG. who did his party piece by starting his beloved speedway bike with his hand turning over the rear wheel!:D

After photographing from Crabtree Bend ( Turn 1 ) I steadily made my way up the hill, prompted by the call the Air Ambulance was on its way, spent the afternoon at the LaFone Hairpin.

I really enjoyed it, my 36th year of going to Barbon, most of the younger days were cars though !
