awsome...

I really don't get this loud bike bit. Stealth is the new black! If you have any sense and want to protect your hearing then you'll have earplugs in, above 80 or so the wind noise will screw your ears. So you won't hear the bike anyway. But the Feds will, and the horse's which could lead to problems for their riders. B roads are the only ones that mobile cameras are not on so that's where I ride fast, A roads are places where you are just asking for points nowadays and all you need is a Honda 125 or maybe even a 90 to get caught????

Wtf!.....eh!

...let me clarify then, a few good points you raise here...LOUD:..myopic drivers!..they don't see me when they look..so they have to HEAR me...STEALTH...?.why the f**k do I want to creep up on any other road user?....SENSE: lots of it pal, and I am doing my utmost to teach feckin numpty's like you, better awareness regarding defensive AND considerate driving/riding techniques!!...Do you restrict your breathing when you ride?..Do you wear goggles that restrict your vision by making it blurred?...the answer is most likely to be NO...so why numb your hearing with bits of rubber?..wont hear the bike anyway you say!!!...get on the back, then rethink!!
Are you yourself not posing problems for the riders of horses, 'B' roads are the very roads more likely to have various wildlife on it mate!, remember!, the roads you admited to, in your post, are the only ones YOU ride fast!..and that gem was founded on the basis of there being NO SPEED CAMERAS. You are a f*****g accident waiting to happen mate if the order of your priorities, before a rideout, follows the pattern above. ...I just hope I'm not on one of them when it happens.

Nice that's just how god intended them to sound, mix the open clutch and a bit of over run and you have a perfect set up.

On a different point I tried ear plugs once; stopped after 50 yards and took em out, it was like watching telly with the sound off.

Mick, you're all heart - but I know what you mean. Noisy helmet, don't like plugs - buy a Schuberth, brilliant! John, you seem to have a mix of priorities/solutions. Think about it! Me - I LOVE NOISE!
