For anyone looking for an alternative read with a bit of bike coverage the last issue of Auto Italia had a nice 1098 test by Alan Cathcart plus its usual italian car exotica including a Scottish Whisky Trail in a Ferrari F430.

well worth a read if you are into Italian 2 and 4 wheeled toys :)

March issue of Motorcycle Sport & Leisure has a nice test article on the 1098 by...........................Alan Cathcart!:)
Think it may be the same one?
 
err, i don't buy MSL :( there are a loads of goods photos in this one as well as a quite techy article from AC.

Pictures of bike on paddock stand on track, cranked over on left hander, rear wheel, dash and seat? Alternatives Mille factory R, R1 and MV F4? Article starts "Whether the stellar-looking 916, created by the Michaelangelo....."
Lots of detail on reduced weight, increased performance etc.
Thought the article was a balanced appraisal of the bike. Complains of lack of slipper clutch on base model but overall seems impressed with the package.
