AMB 001 was well under powered from the start, but what a beautiful bike few can afford for basically an Aston Martin Badge. While the Pro variant is hitting Hp numbers the 001 should have had, the 40k price increase on top of an already ridiculous price, is just absurd. The wings on the Pro look like shit too.

I dont quite understand this bike, the original was quoted at 180hp but above RA5 said it was under powered? The addition of a turbo would make this bike less attractive as turbo lag tends to be detremental to handeling, especially when the boost comes on when leaned over mid turn. The Astin collaberation appears to be mostly fancy paint? I agree that the whole area above the tripple clamp around the headlight looks bad to me. Watching the video it looked like the riders helmet and the front fairing would look the same if they just put a yellow stripe down the center of his helmet. I guess this bike is not marketed to people like me, but should someone want to have it next to their Astin car, they might buy it. I cant imagine the heat from the turbo by riders knee and what appears to be a wastegate dump pipe running right under riders leg. Just my opinion of corse but seems a large price tag for something a V4R would kill at the racetrack at 1/3 the price or less

93k for 180Hp? While the V4s @208-216hp are still over priced IMO, yes underpowered considering what this bike represents. They throw on a Turbo the the 001 platform to get the increase in power which as you put quite well, is not at a level of engineering one would expect from it's namesake.

I compared against my bikes. Hence the underpower to price comment. Mind you, I'm just a regular dude and know about as much as the average bloke. Almost as bad as the typical FB twat.

I think you understand that I was agreeing with you. I find the entire thing as much worse of a cash grab than the Lambo Ducati. My point, which I may have done a poor job expressing, is that modern high level performance is 200+ hp from a naturaly asperated 1000cc. 180 is low, as you pointed out, to begin with, and then strapping a turbo, which effects rideability, to bring it close to what a stock.V4R makes for less than 1/2 the cash is a poor decision-- from my viewpoint. 200 hp has about a $19,000 USA entry cost so £93,000 is an entire race team worth of GSXR/R1/ZX10 bikes

I doubt many will be ridden. Hi net worth collectors will buy what is an average performing and not to pleasant bike to look at. It's exclusivity .We have a saying that you can't polish a turd, in the same way giving it a lick of Aston Martin paint doesn't make it a great bike. You'd get more satisfaction and your moneys worth with a standard Panigale V4S
