Well I'm sitting here on a Sunday evening watching TV and the mobile starts ringing.... low and behold it's John Hackett??? :eek:

I answer the phone and he's as excited as a Jack Russell, all he can say is 1098, 1098... amazing, 1098 wow, 1098, 1098... you get my drift?

Turns out he'd literally just got back from Kyalami, he'd been at the circuit testing with Ducati and a certain Troy Bayliss apparently he'd broke the superbike lap record on a stock 1098S, all he could do was rave about the weekend and how good the bike was, how light and flickable, even the stock 1098 is stonking according to John.

Troy's currently in the UK, maybe even staying at John's as I asked if he could get something signed by him :)

John's final comments were something like he can't imagine anything Japanese getting close to this thing.... Hmmmm gets you thinking doesn't it? :eek:

Whoa Whoa Whoa..... Never spooked at Oulton I'll have you know, but the ghost jumped out at me on an Island, clearly he likes 999R's and roundabouts ;)

for sale 1 wife 1 child, must go as a matching set. child is of the boy variety, house trained, reasonably well behaved and cute. wife is none of these things. looking for a 1098s all serious offers looked at :D
