998R £5k 2002

I would say its well dodgy. Might be worth contacting the original seller to ask what happened to the bike? The picture of the clocks is the same as the ad from December and the mileage stated by this seller is unchanged from then? So this guy has bought the bike for £7kish then changed the tyres and added some bling (£500 ish) then decided to sell it at a £2500 loss a few weeks later?

Dont think so! Ask the bloke if he will deliver the bike for an extra £500 on top of the asking price (COD) be surprised if he agrees.

It is NOT a scam, just got this email

"If you are decided to buy it i need your full name and shipping address and i`ll check with KLM if they can deliver it to you Cash On Delivery.I think this would be the best way to deal this

Hi All

I can back up the theory that this bike appears to be genuine, had a call to Ducati UK and I forwarded the E-mail that Dan sent me and Ducati confirmed that it was registered on 9th April 2002 from Duke London and the engine, vin, registration and headstoke number all appear in order...

Happy bidding...

There's 1,000,001 ways to get the details of a genuine "real" bike (maybe I'm exagerating a tiny bit:D) Add in a few piccies off the interned and away you go.

Seeing is believing, maybe some would splash £5,000 on a bike from a "private" seller that they hadn't viewed.

If someone can get a genuine 998r with a decent history for that price, good luck to 'em, they are gonna need it

Ray.

I thought KLM was a Dutch airline that got part bought by Jet2

No doubts the bikes in order, just that the bloke selling it probably does not own it or has ever even laid his eyes on it. :D

Warning, if its Ray's 998r then its overpriced at £5,000 with the mileage he's done:D

:p I've been rumbled,

Yep, far better to go for a 996r with low, low miles and 2 inch wide chicken strips, and fitted sand ladders, I'll put it up on E-bay ASAP, you'd take £5,001 Shaun??:D

Ray.
