Hi All,

Can anyone out there pass comment on the benefits of fitting a full Termi system to an 848 - my mates just bought one and is undecided on whether to fit one at the 600 mile first service?

Answers either factual or opinion are welcomed regarding power increase etc.

Thanks in advance

Andy

I have a full Termi on my 1098, and to be honest i wasn't really caring if it boosted the power or not.
Ducati claim 8% i think, but that will be bollox. For me, it was for the noise. Baffles - keep them in the box the exhaust comes in.

I have had my 1098 idling about 100ft away, prior to going a run, and was warming up my 749 track bike, and while standing next to the 749, all i could hear was the 1098 burbling away in the background over and above the noise of the 749 (which has a full Termi system as well). (Nearest neighbours 1/2 mile away from where bikes are kept).

Excellent. :D

Coddy's hit the nail on the head and should be applauded... well done that man. There's been much drivel and cyber diarrhoea on other threads about 1098R and D16RR riders not being the fastest on the track... who gives a sh1t.

It's all about looking good and enjoying the bikes, on and off the track... so why did I install a 70mm on both bikes... becuase it looks as cool as fcuk and as Coddy says, it sounds the Dog's too. Take the baffels and give them to Greenpeace and go out and enjoy the Ducati "breathing" as it was DESIGNED to do.

I don't really know about the power, claimed or otherwise, but lets not forget the standard bike is capable of taking you to jail for a very long time :D:D:D:D

Hope that helps... just my opionion, that's all.

Have to agree, it's all about the sound. Tha standard exhausts sound like a bee :fart:ing. :D
