Looked at a really nice low mileage 748R Mk 2 but IMO he wanted too much for it.. £17K..

I tried to persuade him to lower it but no.. He told me he had spoken to the Bike Specialist at Sheffield and they told him they sold one at the same price so of course i said so why didn’t they buy it off you then? We all know why..

Shame but hey! X

Who the fuck would pay 17 k for a 748r? 7k maybe for a minter
It is nice yes but...

Is the 748r MK1 and MK2 like the 749r ... where the MK1 was a proper one the the MK2 a marketing exercise in stickers etc.

£10k private sale

hold out @NOODS he'll drop lower.
If sheffield thought it was such a great bike that was going to fly off the shelf then he'd have had them rip his arm off for it by now.

So first they said they sold the same one for 17k, then they tell him they'd have it up for 15.. yea.. ok son, whatever.
And they're selling the one linked above for 13.5, and that's from Sheffield who is a dealer, so I bet they'll take 13 for it. And if your man is thinking 2-3k markup then 10-11k seems about right as others have said.

last generation 748R was all about the engine internals, not so much with the outward bling, as most of the bike was going to get junked when it ran is ssk anyway.
