ok guys i now live on the other side of the pond what is the thoughts on 748/9 which is better pros and cons i get mixed views on both please let me know what you think

done best part of 9k on my 749 since buying it in April, did 5k in 18 months on my old 996. I loved looking at the 996 but way prefer riding the 749. much comfier on long rides and handles beautifully. still a bit painful after a while riding urban but once out of town its awesome!

If your keen on the 749 I would recomend getting the suspension set up properly for yourself (there was a set up on this site that was excellent and it really makes a huge difference) also get the largest rear sprocket you can get (41 tooth I think) and a longer chain to suit it as this really helps in town as the engine can be snatchy at low revs and the clutch is heavy. other than that get a good set of tyres on it and enjoy yourself.
