who's up for tomorrow? Whitby, over the moors, for a chip supper I reckon, or we could loop round and back to Thirsk for same

Sorry Pete, cant make tomorrow, mores the pity - I have a bed to move (dont ask!)

Catch you next week though...

Sorry Pete, no can do , I am away with work tomorrow  , but I might be able to join you next week. :)

I'm definitely up for a rideout but do we have to go to Whitby? I went to school there: it would be like a punishment for me. I'd rather cut my balls off with a pair of blunt scissors.

How about we go to Robin Hood's bay, push the first dog walker we find into the sea & scarper? We could wait til he finds a car in vengeance & recreate the scene from Fled. (' *,)

Plus my best lid is away being painted & all I have is an old Shoei with loads of scratches on the visor. Do you have a clear visor spare? With one eye & light fading I'd be even slower than I am already. I would be scraping insects off my tail lights the next day.

Hi Pete,

Unable to make it tomorrow, or for the next few weeks as working and then I'm away at the TT. See you mid June, take it easy....

I've got a sharp pair of scissors if you prefer.

not got a shoei visor but have spare helmet. if you can get here before 6 you can try it for size. we'll give Whitby a miss too.

Save whitby for next week, thats a nice run..

Went for chips last night, but when I got there everything was shut....

Enjoy where ever you guys get to

yip, will ring you later.

I have rusty scissors.....was looking forward to whitby and catching some sea air....make the ride coastal eh??

Ok, had no sleep since my last post. Went to pick up a car I'd bought at stupid o' clock in the morning & with a previous late night it wasn't worth me going to bed. I'll get some zeds now & catch you later.

Thanks for the offer of the spare brain bucket. Speak soon.

That was an interesting ride. Six out - Widerider 749, Adi 916, Slowpat 1000DS, Sticky Mille and Barney on the venerable old Yamaha XJ900. An unplanned but entertaining diversion down a road with grass in the middle, taking us back to where we had just been (?), a newly gravelled deathtrap for four miles, sheep wandering over the road, me headbutting a grouse at 70mph (and losing my visor) through some of the best twisties on the Helmsley TT, two fuel lights came on as we were searching for the chippy - found three but they were closed......then dropped it doing a "U" turn - again! Few tiny scratches to the fairing but no worse. Then a spirited hoon back home a woopin' and a hollerin'. Just good fun really. :D :D

Morning!

Wow... I just woke up. Feck.

I slept through 2 alarms.

Okay I'm going out right now. I'll have the roads all to myself. See you on the next one.

Yeah, just took it easy & rode with the visor open most of the time.

Anyone out today. I'm going back out soon. Not working until 9pm tonight so I can sleep later. May head to Squire's this evening.

Yeh, a nice leisurely pace, except for the banzai hoon home from Thirsk. Bloody cold though for this time of year....but my heamosexual heated grips kept me toasty warm:D

Chuffing good fun last night pete, that road was excellent fun. put my bike to bed last night and listened to it "pinging" away to itself. think we woke a few folk up on that last part of the ride hee hee.:lol2:

Rockjock.......me headbutting a grouse at 70mph (and losing my visor) through some of the best twisties on the Helmsley TT,

Duck or Grouse.....or pheasant?

I've ordered some crosser tyres for the next Dash. Suggest we do the scary ford at Stanhope in Weardale, I'll book the rescue heli now.

Leisurely to give Barney and the Yam a chance. It was really funny watching it bounce around behind me - it ran out of steam about 90 so I had to wind back to keep him interested. I knew big boy thought he could ride the roads back from Thirsk quite fast, so I had to keep him honest and show him the way.........:D
