This popped up on my YouTube today. 
Great rider, sadly missed and just listen to the 'raspy' Norton Rotary 588. Notice no front mudguard as they had cooling issues and the bike wasn't expected to run for long, never mind finish or even win.
Love the comment of the cash strapped team manager (I assume).
