OK, its an MCN artist impression but could this be the new monster?

obvoiusly the the pic is a photoshop collage of bike parts made to resemble what they have heard the bike will be like.

I quite like it appart from the enduro look exahust, no doubt the finished product will have udders on the exhaust down pipes and a mudgaurd/numberplate bracket covering half the back wheel. hopelly they will get a nicer front fender and fit it properly too :D

A v twin MV Brutale with ugly cans???, the shape of the pipes is familiar but i can't think what bike they are off :( I'd like to think its no-where near but given what the 1098 ended up looking like its probably spot on :D

got it, a cross between a Honda Hornet and a Yamaha FZ6 with the chopped end of a Suzuki B King. Looking at the B king you realise how hard a job the Ducati designers have

BKing: Lifetime acheivements winner of "The most stupid exhausts in the world" competition.

Total @@@@, imho ;)

Jesus, what is the motorcycling world coming to?

these two are the bike equivalent of reality TV - is this what the biker of today really wants???

...not me!

never heard of the B King but its made feel very hungry :o

but what a bike

I can see Sly Stallone as Judge Dredd on that thing, hideous sums it up.

....And the adverts for this monstrosity they show on Eurosport between bike races make me cringe something rotten

...when I first saw it I thought it was for something special like a supercar Audi or something, then at the end that hideous thing appears and spoils it all! and yes it goes on and on and all I can think of is missing the action in the race!!!

I don't think the B king or new Monster is aimed at you Ed :)

im not sure if i like it or not but its certainly different, def looks like somat out of Judge dredd!

Surely that is what the orginal Monster was born from? Ducati have been left behind by Aprilai Tuono, KTM SuperDuke, Benelli TNT and now the Japanese, the original Monster justified its name , now, other than the S4RS the models are down on horsepower and almost MOR competent city bikes not arm wrenching real monsters.

I'm not a Monster buyer, I had one a few years ago and found it too uncomfortable for me ageing body but if I was in the market for a big "monsta" bike other than the S4RS I'd be looking elsewhere as there are more up to date "fashion" bikes with a better power output and looks. As an city/urban/smaller rider bike then maybe it will work but i think it needs a bit more than that if its to regain its crown. it'll appeal to traditional Monster buyers so maybe Ducati will just rely upon the faithful again.

Knock the B king and its adverts if you want but its more of a "monster" ( in its original format) than the MCN concept bike. This is one model ducati do need to make succeed its been the mainstay of the range for years so is probably more important than SBK.

umm thing is though the mcn 'artists impression' is just a photoshop fit together of other random bikes and it looks like it.

maybe i am a dyed in the wool monster type but ...

i'm currently more tempted by the supermoto type of bike with the less high speed and perhaps a bit more technical finess required on the back roads

I just think that the BKing is a bike with an ID crisis. It might be full of trick bits but it has as much style as a herd of rampaging Wildabeast!!

I know it's not aimed at me Michael but even though i am not in the market for a new bike these days, I struggle with these weird looking bitsa bikes that are part sports bike, part supermotard, part tourer. I would also challenge most of today's motorcyclists to honestly admit to being able to handle the massive power that these bikes are producing these days - I certainly couldn't.
I'm also not a great Monster fan, but I have utmost respect for the bike that is basically over 15 years old and it's chassis based on a superbike thats pushing 19 years old. Thats longevity for you.
I'm just a miserable old git that's stuck in a timewarp I guess!! :p :D

Can I go now? :D

 but nothing, i cast thee out satan :p

:o I consider myself cast out.....

I like this one - well not the colour but the kit, the same wheels as mne and those fantastic Verlicchi zorsts straight off an 851Kit. :)

Have I redeemed myself

Oh dear, I hope the wheels weren't damaged- they cost £1200 and those Verlicchi cans are extinct these days.

noo was reversed over with a truck whilst parked i think

and the dammages expensive /rare parts effectivly wrote it off thing the truck driver bought the bike off him, or something, funny insurance in the USA ~:?
