I love the look of the bike. But the termi's seem rather odd???????? Weird tailpipes.Having said that I did'nt like the 999/749 when they were launched but I love them now.

in the flesh the Termi's look just right for it.

ive always likes the 749/999 Termi's coz they look like no other bike's.

Totally Unique.

I called in around lunch time today... bike DOES look different in the flesh to what you see in the mags... but it still looks a bit jap..... sounds all ducati tho.. I think it will be a grower... never quite reaching the appeal of classic ducs but certainly less controversial than the 999..

I popped in yesterday as well and I totally agree with what you've said Paul. I was expecting to be as blown away as I was when I first saw it in the magazines, maybe even more so, but I was actually a little dissapointed.

Don't get me wrong I really like it, love it in fact, and would have one in a shot, but it does look VERY different to the way it does in the magazines. I think it looks smaller, maybe that's why I thought 'Japanese' when I saw it. I dunno, the 999 just seems more 'Ducati', but then maybe that's why the 1098 will be so successful.

As usual I just spent most of my time dribbling over my dream bike...the yellow 748 at the door...STILL sitting there!

I am not convinced yet...

had a sit on it last night and a nose around and yes it's very appealing and the promised performance is selling it to me but i am not there yet.

It is quite pretty, but it feels a bit odd at the moment. Maybe without the mirrors, decent rearsets and something done with the vast empty space on the seat behind I might be reconsidering... who knows!!

actually sounds like you are going to need a WHOLE lot more convincing before you like it then......... It just isn't quite right......

come on guys, compare it to whats out there, think about what went into its design & conception. its an stunning bike.

the form & function is Awsome !

I love the look of it too in the flesh, looks better than the mag shots. I still think it looks a bit of a mess around the pipes going up the side compared to the way the 748 looks. Stiil someone will design a nice carbon heatshield to cover it all up. Mine might be the only one in the country with thumb gear and back brake on the handlebars and with forward pegs like on the Hardly Dangerous bikes
