DUCATIGLASGOW , DUCATILEEDS and DUCATIMANCHESTER are delighted to announce that we are receiving our first delivery of
1098S Superbikes to our respective stores for display from the 22nd of December

The staff of all three Stores would like to extend a warm invitation to all of the members and guests of Ducati Up North
to be some of the first people in the UK to see this eagerly anticipated machine.

DUCATIGLASGOW will be opening
Late on Friday 22nd until 8pm for this special event.
Saturday 23rd December from 9am until 5pm
and
Sunday 24th December from 12pm until 3pm

DUCATILEEDS will be opening
Late on Friday 22nd until 7.30pm for this special event.
and
Saturday 23rd December from 9am until 5.30pm

DUCATIMANCHESTER will be opening
Late on Friday 22nd until 7.30pm for this special event.
and
Saturday 23rd December from 11am until 4pm​

i think its too close to christmas for me, as much as id like to see it,i just cant see myself going to glasgow and back on christmas eve:(
 
I think we'll be down at Leeds next Saturday, need to pick the 999 up after its big service and bring me mates Foggy Rep SPS down so its a good chance to see the 1098 as well. Is anyone else going to be there around saturday lunchtime?

They are a lot nicer in the flesh, some of the comments really make my blood boil about what thye look like, each to their own, go and see one !!!
 
Just seen the new 1098 'S' version in the flesh at Ducati Shipley.

It looks really cool. There are so many 916 styling cues even down to the top yoke and fuel cap (which looks identical).

I've said it before but if you park a 916 next to one you can see a logical progression, but if you parked a 999 in between it will stick out like a sore thumb.

This is not a dig at 999's by the way! The appearance of which has grown on me over the years.

The design is not ground breaking but I believe that it will appeal to everyone and Ducati could not afford to take a gamble on anything extreme styling wise.

Maybe this is because it is cheaper for them to use as many parts as they can that are already in the parts bin for other models!
 
Called in to Ducati Leeds this aft also to see it, i liked it anyway but feckin love it now.

took a wee vid clip here hoping to capture the sound after the baffles were removed. its sounds ace, no way captured on the vid

But the sneak preview of the 848 was a surprise, Charlie was messing with it in the workshop, see here! just needs a termi ;)

Popped in to see the 1098 yesterday at Ducati Glasgow

well worth the trip. a great looking bike. it is an elegant design with no fussy styling features. i liked it a lot. what will the 2008 R version be like? Martin knew but he wouldn't tell me. I will see 2007 out on my 999, but i'm afraid that it now has a lighter (you really notice that when sitting on it), more powerful and prettier descendant. bugger - there's always something nicer just around the corner ain't there?

sounds brilliant and the arse end didnt look so much mv on there. i hope my first thoughts with the pics in the papers are all wrong. but on the other hand i hope i was right as it'll mean i wont be as upset about not affording it :D

Sounds bloody gorgeous too, that video clip doesn't do it justice!
 
9 am on Saturday the 23rd and Charlie ushers a few select Ducatisti into the workshop of Ducati Leeds to witness an exclusive lauch of Ducati's 1098 with revolutionary rear rotary engine. Only available in black!

Made the trip through to Ducati Glasgow today to eyeball the new bike.

All I can say is ...... WOW!
