Hi Stewart, was this the one where we met you and your stunning 750 last year?

if so I shall be there (weather permitting):)

Hi Ed, yep that's the one. Due to bad dose of procrastination the 750 isn't looking good to be ready in time. Perishing o-rings means slight oil weep on back pot and although it will run ok it makes it hard to take the p!ss out the old British bikes oil leaks on the day!:o Providing I get through the MOT and then change back to the Termis afterwards it will be the modern bike that makes an appearance again assuming weather holds. Did it two years ago in torrential non-stop rain and that ain't much fun at 40mph!

Well I sympathise Stewart, since writing the my answer to your thread I've been out to the Imola in the garage and discovered the whole place stinking of fuel and a puddle under the bike!!!
transpires that the jubilee clip around the connecting pipe between the front and rear of the tank was slightly lose was allowing fuel to leak everywhere. Hadn't looked at this since rebuilding back in December so I've only got myself to blame and the tank isn't normally left in the garage so full with fuel, I normally have them very low because they are in a wooden garage with horses right nextdoor!!!

Could have been worse......you could have had a bike with a full size fuel tank!:D Sorry, could have been nasty but instead you've got horses with sore heads with the fumes. £3 will top it up before Friday trackday!

...yes the tank could be a wee bit bigger! They do have a larger one +5 ltrs making 13.5 in total which will do nicely - a winter task though as £300 will have to spent on other more pressing things.

Hi, Im staying at Loch Ness house hotel on Saturday night.Being from Inverness originally I've wanted to view this spectacle for many years.

See you guy's on Sunday.:D :D

No point in telling you assembly times etc.....you can see it from your bedroom window!:D
Used to be very anti european/japanese until last few years when they realised the membership was dwindling rapidly with each passing year and noticed a big change in attitude recently. A Duke took one of the prizes a couple of years ago! Because the owner wimped out at Drumnadrochit in torrential rain and headed for home the trophy never made it onto the mantlepiece!

Aye,a big weekend in the far north. Mitchell's moving shop and the round the loch run all in one week!

I was going to look in tomorrow as this is their first day opening I think but reckon the place will be heaving. At least there should be plenty of parking now. Think you may find a couple of entries on Sunday of interest!;)

Think I'll go out to Delmore for a wee look tomorrow as I don't know the next time I'll be up there.

The interesting entries are not you and Ed are they? Two old old classics and all that.:) :)

I'm old but not interesting!:o
Ed is ...........buying a GPS to find Nairn?:D

Take it we won't get any ice cream then?:) :)

If you tell the family Uncle Eddie is away to buy a 99 for them I'd get off your mark pronto before the disappointment hits home! Then again perhaps Forres does have an ice cream parlour!......Do you think he could find Forres again?:D

I doubt it very much........Think I'll take them to Brora instead there used to be a good ice cream shop up there.:) :)

Some years ago the resident Sheriff (the late Ewen Stewart) was sitting listening to a case and the defence agent making his plea in mitigation on behalf of his client told the Sheriff "My Lord, my client is 35 years of age and lives in Brora and this is his first offence..." at this point the Sheriff interrupted the solictor and said " Are expecting me to believe that your client has lived in Brora for 35 years and this is his first offence?":)

you bl*ody pair of old farts!!!!! :p I'm gonna slash your tyres tomorrow.

Stewart, would you say that Saturday is the better day to go? I can only really make it tomorrow.

Eddie, rally is just the Sunday. Meet in Loch Ness Hotel from 10'ish onwards to admire/laugh at bikes and then the old machines go off first about 12 and more modern stuff afterwards. Route usually is round Loch but sometimes they go the long way to get to it through Kiltarlity etc. Run is at a VERY relaxed pace and may stop for tea/lunch in Fort Augustus. If you are looking for a run to get rid of chicken strips this is not the one! Arrive back at hotel for tea/drink and hand out prizes. Take your camera as I think there may be a couple of bikes that may be of interest to those on DuN! (apart from yours obviously!-can you bring a lens that stays in focus?:p :D ) Mitchells as far as I know are "opening" their new place at Delmore today so that will be a big draw in the area.

Just had a thought that "Rock Ness" is on this weekend and that may mean a different route this year.

I certainly wouldn't do the run, I'd be constantly slipping the clutch in 1st just to stay slow enough!!! :p

A few pictures

Well seen you were staying in the hotel the previous night!...no people! I will try and load some more to add to yours. Nice pictures although I thought the picture of the 916 would be of it on it's side.........with you underneath!:D

QUOTE=Davieravie;65600]Probably coz they are back in the jail..........[/QUOTE]

I'll get a pass to visit though;) ;)

A few more photos.

Have a part of a tale which I hope will become clearer shortly but the MV (wot I have photos of) was proceeding in a downward manner down Culnakirk (steep brae) when the front brake decided to apply itself and locked the front wheel. The Pantah immediately behind swerved to avoid and ended up in the scenery. Pantah damaged but mainly cosmetic and awaiting news on the MV.
