Shame its green, red with white wheels and Corse stripes, man what an awesome car it would be !

Must weigh at least 500kg's with at best 160bhp at the crank (still 320bhp per tonne) :dunno:

And the wheels / tyre package won't maximise the available grip either.

If you want this sort of thing, wouldn't you buy a radical with a busa engine.

Look at it - it's only a concept, not even a design study. There's no air filters either :fou:

Of course you are correct and has been pointed out elsewhere the sump would have to be altered if the engine was run at the angle it is set - its a 1/12th model though and I think it looks the nuts - I was at devil's a few weeks back when a couple of bike powered 7 reps turned up, sounded amazing but imagine the same with a big Ducati motor :)

Just buy a 1098 and be happy! :lol2:

If I buy anything in the next couple of years it will be the Motard, plenty of everything for round here, well apart from range, having said that with the Paranoia my fuel guage causes it will be the same refuelling depots !

I still have feelings for a GP Buggy or a Lomax though !

A few of the kit cars run bike motors for power/weight reasons and R1, Fireblade and Hayabusa are the most popular choices for outright power in sprints and hillclimbs, but don't suppose there is any reason an L-twin couldn't be inserted instead. Having built a kit car in the past I wouldn't be as enthusiastic this time! (naive is probably more accurate)

I don't want to hijack this thread but while on the subject of specials ok Kit specials - I built a special Ducati back in 1991 while living in Germany. It was way before the Monster came along but I loved the idea of a retro street fighter type bike. It was made up of the following:
the basis of the kit was the Tamiya 1/12 scale Ducati NCR 900 racer, plus various bits of broken Tamiya kits, OWO1 swingarm, NSR500 forks brakes and wheels, RC30 headlamps, NCR Ducati frame engine, shocks, seat unit and exhaust.

If I'd done what Niall has done with his Monster, this is the kind of thing I would have built. :)

...you can all wake up now!!!
