What the feck have you done today?

Just arrived at our hotel near Consett after driving from our gaff in France. Only got caught with a delay at the A1M/M1 junction but pleasantly surprised there were no other issues from Pompey.

Lovely place and will experience the restaurant later tonight.

Nieces wedding tomorrow so probably be pissed tomorrow night lol.

Back home on Tuesday.

Been trying to place that as it's my neck of the woods. Nailed it now. It's the Anchor at Whittonstall. I live only ten minutes away but don't go there that often as £5.70 for a pint of bitter is too salty for me.
Nevertheless it's a nice pub in a beautiful little corner of Northumberland. Hope you had an enjoyable stopover and you're inspired to come and visit us again. Next time, bring your bike. It's epic round here.

That’s the one, lovely place, food and staff. Heading home tomorrow, originally from Newcastle so being out and about around the area a few times.
Massive breakfast incoming before shopping trip to the Metro Centre afterwards.

The scarecrow is to try and scare off the sparrows that are nesting in the toilet ceiling space..
The phone in the toilet is coz im a perve...
Love a cockney sparrow. We’ve a small flock in the bushes and the gang comes to the trough for a splash around - look closely you’ll see his beady eye

Thought for Today

I am not impressed by "The Professor" Jason Arday claiming to have finished 30 Marathons in 30 days.

In my prime, I could easily manage 6 marathons a day.

Course they did shrink a bit when Mars renamed them "Snickers."

Just caught a quick look at Mordor, and Roadtrip has sold my old 748BP after 11 years.

When he put it up for sale, our good friend Perry expressed an interest in it.

That retracted when he realised something about his hip no longer swivelling like it should, so he presumably has fooked off to annoy Fowlers in Bristol.

Just bought this for Sally. She's been thinking of getting back to riding a bike again for a while. I've looked at a few smallish things over the last year or so and finally got this BMW G310R. She's not so tall so it being quite a tiny and light bike it should suit her well and not be at all intimidating. Just sorting the insurance then tax and she'll be out on it this evening subject to storms, grandchildren, plagues of locusts etc.

Sneak a G310GS into the garage one night to replace the R and see what she does.

"Dukey! My legs have shrunk! Help!"
