I have put some effort into finding a conclusion to this and it does have some promise!
First of all, I could not find a bucket, as all of ours have houseplants in them, and that made things difficult from the getgo. But then I thought, what if i just use my trousers and lift up by the wasteband? That would leave my legs dangling which would definitely help on re-entry! But, I wasn't wearing any trousers as it was my bedtime. So I grabbed my undies and lifted and hard as I could! Now believe it or not, I felt some enormous upward pressure and soon I was on my tiptoes, not quite off the floor but close! The pain was considerable tho, but I feel with some good gusset padding, a result can be achieved! Give it a go!

We bought a new toy. It’s a beast. It’s already cut the grass 4x in the last 36hrs while I sat at the outside table drinking a can of beer and ‘supervising’.

It doesn’t need a pay rise. It doesn’t need time off. It doesn’t need constant cigarette, or coffee or toilet breaks. It doesn’t winge and complain about its working conditions. On top of all that it cuts the grass better than the ICE lawnmower and I did and far cheaper than the gardener charges.

Why we never got one before is beyond me.

Mine is not so fancy (probably a bit cheaper too) - stupid fuck gets stuck all the time so I'm forever moving it and switching off and on - still, beats cutting the back grass, still have to fekkin strim 🙄

A cousin of ours has the Luba 2 and highly recommends the brand. He wants the 3. My son was considering a Husqvarna but our cousin said the Luba is better so 2 1/2 months ago he got the Luba 3. His yard is about an acre in size with some sloped areas and it does just fine.
My sons Luba in their yard. It's a curious thing to watch it move around out there. It's like a cute little animal.

Are you thinking of the robot vacuum cleaner that suffered from a curious incident of the dog shit in the night, ate it and died? That got replaced. So far so good with the new iRobot.

The robot lawnmower is to free up the gardener to do other things keeping the estate tamed and under control.

So far I am very impressed. We have a very non-standard shaped grass area to deal with. It probably took about 2hrs, from opening the box to getting it mowing, to set up the base station and mapping the areas, could have been quicker but for user incompetence coming to grips with the app. Importantly, the 3 doesn’t need the RTK Antennae like the previous versions so it’s much easier to set up. For anyone else reading, it doesn’t need a wire buried in the ground to determine its perimeter either, you just guide it around the cutting area perimeter using your phone as a joystick controller.

I’ve seen these recently where the owner built a small hut that contains a charging station, when the battery runs low it trundles itself off back home for a top up then back out to work.
Considering one myself.
 
This year they’ve got some at the golf club.
They’re great things - perfect for keeping on top of the rough…need a bit of tweaking for the fairways.
They don’t touch the greens.
As Carr said, they take themselves back ti their charging stations when they need it.
I think they’ve got 8 to cover the course.

Mine has no hut, I was worried about weather but after 3 years no issues, dome (flymo I think) sell dedicated huts as an extra so you can do a bit of research ifcyou want a hut 👍
