I was abt 55 when I learnt. I can still manage the skiing but I can't manage the lifts.
If you'd have seen me with this, you'd still be laughing...
This was literally me.
Still, loved every minute.
I hate button lifts. They are even worse for boarders.

La rosierre to la thuile button lift is about 1000m long boring on a board but I always tell learners to relax .... then sit back and watch them break their asses

Hard work after a heavy night but worth it when you got there.
I'm blessed I have a mate who lives in la thuile.. Nino can literally find fresh powder days after snowfall as he knows the mountain like the back of his hands so luckily no walking.. met him and his wife Nina through windsurfing and we have been mates now 15 years and our kids have grown up together.. the hospitality shown over the years is unbelievable.. we make no plans he just waits till he see the flag on the camper !

I tried saying that, wife still wanted one though.
Today i have just insured the Harley that is valid from midnight tonight, it's mad because on the phone i had to go through the two crashes. They had it all on record, the case for the 900ie crash is on record and the Enfield. The Enfield crash claim is dead, now get this, i haven't heard anything from PM LAW for a while but is still an active claim. Anyway got off the phone to wait for the insurance policy email and an email from Gordons LLP came through saying PM LAW on the 4th February 2026 PM LAW are now closed!!
This Gordons group are not taking over the case and said to get another solicitors, they have sent me an efile to pass on to the new solicitors.
FFS, i now have to get another bloody solicitor, i'll do that tomorrow!!

Yes thanks. We had seared tuna steak on a bed of rocket that had been sauteed in salty butter for dinner. Delicious. Watched a bit of telly then off to bed where I dreamed my name was Androcles and I pulled a huge thorn from the pad of a lions paw. Maybe there was an unusual herb mixed in with the rocket ?Good night last night ?
