Please double check whether or not £5 has been debited from your Paypal account as I received an email notification a couple of weeks back the annual automatic DD request had been declined due to the regular payment instruction being cancelled by the user ie you.

For everyone’s information. When the Forum was set up (5 years ago now) subs were £5/pa provided a regular recurring payment was set up. The default when people joined was that it was a regular recurring payment.

Move onto 2021 and 2022 and some tightwads complained £5 had been taken from their PayPal account without their authority, when actually it was with their authority as they’d agreed to the regular payment when they joined. Some demanded a refund. One even accused me of theft and threatened to report me to PayPal and the police (tosser 😡). So, I changed it.

If people join now it’s £6/pa and there’s no regular payment option.

If people have cancelled the regular payment and they have to pay manually each year it’s £6.

If people kept the regular payment in place it’s still £5 to them.

I'm gonna go back in time…

Today i had to go to the South Hants Hospital for an X-Ray on my right arm to see how well the new plate on my right arm is doing. 3PM appointment and i was only in there for an hour and a half, result that it's usualy two and a half hours. Got a taxi back and just missed rush hour traffic so not an insane amount of taxi charge. When i saw the consultant i found out she was the one that did the surgery to raplace my plate, it's healing well but it showed that the old screw holes are slowly healing and said not to put to much weight on it for at least another 8 weeks. I will be getting another appointment in the new year to check on it.🤷‍♂️ Good job i got the taxi bloke to drop me at Tesco as it's now pissing down!!:)

Presumably all your stuff is in storage?
Yes I did the last load yesterday before the really bad weather arrived today. I have two 20ft storage containers and they are both rammed. Costing me £320 a month so I don't want them both for too long but I've had one for a couple of years already and will probably keep that one.

I don't envy the people moving in today as it's hoofing it down with rain and cold and windy. I've left them a bottle of fizz in the fridge though so that will cheer them up later.
