On your way to Ireland you could always spend a couple of days on the Island for a bit of sightseeing. Do a few laps of the course etc.

I will have to do some research on bike rental and if my foreign drivers license is valid in the UK. I would guess the the next best thing to actually attending the TT would be to ride the track/roads--at posted speed limits.

£215 for a day is a little steep but not necessary to rob a bank, it would be a bucket list type of vacation expense.I spend nearly that amount per day to ride my bikes on a racetrack so no big problem to pay for a bike for a day or 2. I am not sure what track days cost there but a weekend at the track can cost me $1000 for a 3 day trip and I try (or did before my surgery) to do 3 or 4- 2 or 3 day trips a year.

It’s only on the Island. At TT time there are a lot of temporary speed limits in place but away from the Course it’s mainly left alone. Stick rigidly to 20/30 through the villages and enjoy yourself in the unrestricted areas.
The whole Mountain Section of the course is unrestricted, sadly it’s closed more often than not at the TT due to accidents.

If you've ever been to the Sturgis Rally, then you'll know just how much it's a rip off/incredibly expensive, the Isle of man tt is comparible. It is one of the biggest income events the isle of man has so they make the most of it understandibly.

£300 for the homestay, 6 nights.
Then whatever you want to spend on beer, food, petrol etc.
If the weather plays ball I could see 7 races, last year I saw 4 (I think ) as the weather was patchy. 2023 we didn’t have a drop of rain and saw the 7 races.
I don’t think that’s too bad.
Worth every penny.

It is what it is, part of the TT. If the weather is dodgy we’ll spend some time exploring the Island, the new race schedule doesn’t give us much free time normally.
I may finally get to Cregneash!

I have never been to Sturgis but I understand the price gouging for the locals to get their piece of the cash pie. I have been to Road Atlanta and Mid Ohio race track for 3 day track riding events and each trip cost me over $1000 US. We slep in tents then but the prices you quoted would be reasonable, and much cheaper than a flight and stay at any Moto GP event which is also on my list of must do events. We looked into doing the Texas GP event in 2020 with the cost of hotel, flight, car rental and tickets to event adding up to $1500 per person. Unfortunately, covid killed that trip but I do intend to make it there soon.
