So all day Friday on garage and still wasn't ready to clad! Every where I looked the was Lil bits and bobs that needed doing.
Got 3 walls ready but still a good few hours on the last to go.
most of the weekend was taken up by trying to get the storage unit cleared out. 3 big trailer loads but didn't manage to get it fully done. 2 motorcycles, 5 large oak slabs and a bit of other crap to go.
Gunna pay for another 2 weeks storage to take pressure off. Don't really want bikes here till secure.
Saturday morning I got a lick of paint on the roller door as that didn't involve getting to many tools out and Sunday I wrapped the 3 sides that are ready to clad. Also put street number on the fence, coz that is really important... well, we bought the numbers a few weeks back and I was sick of looking at em on the counter...
My guesstimate of 3 weeks to finish garage was a bit optimistic and a paid job cropped up for this week. It's all good.

Sunday afternoon, after wrapping, I peddled to the shop for wine. Got home, plonked the bag down and smashed the bottle.
Lucky the rucksack was kinda watertight so I emptied it into a pot, strained it through a cloth and drank it out of a vase.. as ya do..

Haha...just got the local rag through the letter box. Amongst other things they were telling us about the new bus service. Or maybe not new, but the bus service to town. We were keen on finding out about this so we don't have to drink drive, but with all the shit going on, we haven't looked into it.
Anyhu, town, being whangarei, is 14km from where we are. The bus runs twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays with one departing here at 9 30 am and one returning at 1.30 pm. Guess that's the weekends travel sorted then!
A taxi is $50 each way. The bus is cheap at $3 each way...

And no, there is no such thing as a train in nz.. not round these parts anyhu.. the are some tracks that may be up to carrying a train but it seems to be a bad idea to use em. Better to use pot hole ridden roads for everything.

I bought in London where a 10 min ride could often be a 45 min car trip. Anyhu, now I use it to peddle to the shop 4 mins away.
I hate proper cyclists with a passion .
If I tried to peddle to town, I doubt I'd survive 1 trip, state highway 1 ( the only way to get there, unless I go via the coast, 60 km ish ) is fucken lethal...
