My Energy supplier has gone bust.

Energy firms holding £8.1bn of customers' money Energy firms holding £8.1bn of customers' money

“Energy regulator Ofgem said that "customers can fuck off, as long as our mates get richer who cares about them ?". “
Just checked and they hold about three bags of ours (mainly Gas).... in credit ready for the Winter... "no refund until April/May, the end of the seasonal heating".

Did you get the credit transferred to the new supplier?
No,
The matter was put in the hands of Price Waterhouse Cooper (Rip off agents) First they paid themselves then the Guaranteed creditors (suppliers). Then instead of their estimated 1 year to sort it out they stretched it out over 4 years by which time low and behold there was fuck all left for the little men.

Then to rub the salt salt in we were passed over to British Gas (who did everything they could to stop us leaving them - never again!

There aren't you glad you asked?
Yours
Perry L

😱

the amount of money these uselesstility companies must be spending on non existent customer services is mind boggling

Got an email today from one saying 'your payment is overdue' so I emailed them back and said 'we've only just received the correct bill and will approve and pay asap' only to receive a reply saying 'thank you for your reply but can you confirm the account number'

you couldn't make it up

Or maybe get rid of the green levies and the subsidies for impractical, inefficient and useless power generation scams?

Hmm, I wonder which way they'll jump? 🤔
... just so I know where to invest?

Some of our mates are shit at their jobs, so we’ve found a way to create jobs for them and pay them stupid money regardless of their ability. 😬
What a load of horse hooey, I could easily get the uk net zero without extra taxes, also secure the UK's energy security into the bargain, but it wouldn't be entertained purely because you can remove corruption at source, it directly fails to comply with the current agenda, narrative and propaganda spewed by the establishment for the consumption of the sheeple!

Luckily we qualify for this free boiler replacement under the government scheme. within a month of applying we have had our loft insulated and our 35 year old boiler replaces free of charge with no hassle at all , all the paperwork was completed by there rep, boiler was fitted in a better location and completed within the day.

How do you check if your eligible? My boiler is a condensing combi but must be getting on for 15 years old.
I got free loft insulation about 10 years ago :)

How's the treatment going btw?

Treatment is going better than expected regarding side effects thanks, although I won't know the results for another six months when I have another PSA blood test, mine read 28, 3 is about normal.
As far as the boiler is concerned I can't remember all the criteria but the old boiler has to be over 15 years old, the household income has to be under £31,000 someone on benefits or a health condition, we qualified under my wife's COPD.

Birdie I would say that's a positive, I was worried when my PSA was 24, until the fella next to me said his was over 1000, my last test was 6.7, which they classed as not actionable.

Standing charges

"In most areas, the charge has doubled over the last two years. In January, a typical household will pay 53p a day for electricity and 30p a day for gas."

How the fuck do Ofgem justify that.

WWWWWAAAAAANNNNNKKKKKERRRRRRRSSSSSSSSZSSSSS.

Well, they have to make up for the reduction in usage by consumers due to the high cost of the supply.
