The article didn't say how long the sponsorship deal is for or how much $$$ each year will be paid, or how much of that is in cash and how much is in intangibles eg co-marketing of each other's brand but, personally, I don't think it's the best long term secure sponsorship deal for they could get shut down at any moment being unregulated as they are. Still, beggars can't be choosers and crypto companies are flashing the cash (whether it's hard dollars or crypto who knows) at the moment when it comes to marketing and advertising.

We looked into farming/mining bitcoin, gosh- a decade ago, couldn't afford to at the time and it seemed like a waste given what was required to potentially make gains at the time (I'd probably be a crypto-millionaire by now had we pushed forward - maybe).
It's all made up bullshit. Like most currency today, there's no material value, IMO worthless. Crypto-currency is literally nothing. The lack of regulation makes it a dangerous gamble and as a few have mentioned, will eventually be replaced by national or international crypto.
Crypto theft also occurs too often. Complexity and instability keep me away.

Big crash in the crypto market today. Bound to happen seeing as I bought some recently. Bought some more just now so expect even bigger falls.

8.7% US inflation figures released last Friday and a guaranteed 1.25% BofE interest rate by Thursday.... possibly 1.5%.
I'm down between 1-2% today already, some of that is expected as a lot of my shares are now trading Ex dividend.... some chunks of cash coming my way over the next few months.....
Yes I've just been having a read up myself. Hopefully a good time to invest.

One of the young 'uns I work with is always dabbling in it, and is convinced he'll be richer than Jeff Bezos in a couple of years.
Anyway, I bought my 1st today, basically just to blame him when it all goes tits up.
I put a couple of hundred quid in to one today that he recommended, paid 64p per each whatever they are measured in. I have told him if they don't emulate Bitcoin and reach £30k each by years end, and I'm not sunning myself on my own Caribbean island, he'll never hear the end of it.
On the bones. Glad I only bought a small amount. It has proven my point about his snake oil, get rich quick schemes.
