BMW S1000RR anyone had one?

General question and for no other reason than I noticed a few have mentioned them.

What were the positives, negatives and observations if you've owned/riden one for road, track or both ?

I had 2017 gen 3 for 6 months a unbelievably good bike!! too good like most beemers! got me a GSA triple black after it

I had the all black one in 2012. Superb bike and so easy to ride but I’m just not a fan of IL4’s.
I think it was the last IL4 that I’ve owned.
Sold it as I was to be off bikes for a year due to my back op.

A mate has one and he very kindly lent it to me when I was in dire need of some " throttle therapy " ,
while my own bike was stripped down .

Stunning power and lovely smooth delivery , and I can't fault the handling in any way .
It's the only bike I would ever consider , apart from another Ducati
.... and I don't much like any of them after the 1098 / 1198 era bikes .....
