June's BOTM is now open BUT, as last month, take a note of the slight rule change.

Remember it's not just the photo content ie the bike that's important but also the quality of the photo itself so get a arty and post some nice ones, I'm still thinking about a 2022 calendar from the photos (y)

It's noticeable many of you are simply rating the picture with the post ratings but not voting on the picture. You don't have to vote obviously but if you do like the picture why not vote it up as well as rating it with a (y) . Look for the voting mechanism, it's to the right of the post when viewed on a desktop and underneath the post when viewed on a mobile.

@The GOAT juat a suggestion, but maybe ditch the ability to down vote something by using the counter and switch to simply counting the thumbs up a picture receives. (y) Or disable the ability for a negative vote on the counter to add some annonyminity. I think you said this can't be done though. 🤔

If we removed the down votes, exi wouldn't get any votes at all, that ain't fair :(

Can't just have positive votes only. It's actually designed for voting answers to questions rather than photos and thus is hardcoded to have -ve and +ve votes so viewers can see when an answer to a question is not useful or incorrect as well as vice versa. It's being adapted here for what was supposed to be a simple solution to voting for photos. i think the solution is just for people to stop being childish and voting things down.
