Tax due 3 years ago, but not even on sorn - registered first in 2008.
How was it taxed in 2018 with no MOT 🤔
Why only 1 key on a bike of this value when it’s easy to resolve 🤷‍♂️
I always remember the dodgy 1198SP when this place pops up 👀

That'll be why it's so cheap 🤔😁
 
Bear in mind one has to pay extra for the race exhaust & ecu I wonder what value they might have ? @Robarano may know.

Also, would you trust JEM to service that🤔 other than change the oil? Perhaps they can do the full Desmo service as well, perhaps not.
 
The thing I find odd is the advert says a lot about the bike but next to nothing about THIS bike. Of those I've seen and I'm sure Rob will forgive me but understand, Most of these owners are pretty anal about this bike. They know everything about thier bike, reciepts are kept, history tracing back is largely known etc etc but this bike is quite devoid of any history in the advert.

It might be a marketing ploy to get possible buyers to ring and ask about such things and I agree with Paul, if this hasn't had anything done in years (the advert doesn't mention anything) Then someone like Nelly at Cornerspeed would be my go to place to feel a service is bang on, rather than jemspeed who will probably just do an oil change and checks they would do on any normal bikes.

They specifically list the exhaust as the GP exhaust and panels (Should be tail unit, belly pan). These were about £7k at the time and I have seen a few new ones about for sale, but not lately. You can tell as the exhaust exits straight out of the rear of the bike and in the RHS belly pan.

The bike is fitted with a road exhaust and comes with a sports exhaust as standard too. Both ot these exit through the top of the seat unit and one of these is currently fitted to the bike, not the GP exhaust.

The 1 key thing might be a typo as you should have 2 and a code card, he also seems to have all the other accessories for the bike. The code card has the mechanical lock no. and electronic immobiliser over ride code on it. I'm not sure you can program a 2nd key without these and if you lose your only key, you'll need a new dash and keys to over ride the immobiliser iirc.

I haven't used mine for a couple of years as it was expensive to insure for something I maybe rode once a year. It's insureed laid up only at the moment but if I really got the urge, I can insure it again. 🤷‍♂️

I get my local dealer to take it away once a year and service it. Basically just fluids but I tell him to do anything it needs and MOT it. It never needs anything else really, no belts to worry about.
 
They will want to sell it as a job lot for huge money, the lowball advert is to get interest, they will expect a buyer to want all the bits and probably insist on a specialist service which will bump up the agreed sale price. As for history it may be the original owner is no more, like the 44 teeth youtube bike, as any owner wanting to sell is unlikely to have traded it knowing the value and kind of market it would attract. A stress free sale for that bike would be through auction house not Jolly Speed Shop surely

Don’t think the Desmo service is due until 15000 miles 🤔
Note they say PDI and not service, what’s that all about 🤷‍♂️
