Just been speaking to a guy at EK his 999 snapped its chain and he was sitting fixing at the side of the road,

Unfortunately His breakdown cover had no record of him getting cover with his insurance so he was left at the side of teh road to fix and get home by himself

I couldnt even help as I was with my family and had no real alternative as My own cover is bike specific

he said he was going to ge a tow home hopefully he has made it home by now he stays in Strathaven about 5 miles or so away

Bike in loveley condition as well but teh chain had hit the side casing and it seems a trip to the doctors is in line for it now.

anyways good luck with it and join the forum

The same thing happened to me with my breakdown cover:mad:

I would recommend all to check their cover before going on any long trips!

He got home ok in the end and has taken the accident as an opportunity to strip the bike completely. Newly painted engine, frame and everything freshened in time for next season:cool:
