Who fancies a blast then? Weather looks OK. I'm in the Lakes at the moment so would have to meet people, say Devil's Bridge. Then we could go further afield. I'll check back here tonight, I'm at my mates house and we're building all day.

Hi Pete, yip weather permitting, got a day pass as the alternative is Bank Holiday Gala....!!!Let me know where and when.:)

very near completion, we got both glass balustrades finished today

Hey Pete, talk to me about glass balustrades sometime, I'm thinking about getting one for upstairs.

Would love to ride out but t'other side of the country is a bit far and I slept in ...

I'll post some pics of balustrades tomorrow. We ended up at Hartside (via Cockermouth from Devils Bridge) anyway about 3.30 ish, then back to Shap and Kendal and Hawes and home.

Ok, so how'd it go? Mac was there when I arrived (but he only did four miles...then went home :) ), Sticky, Bronco Jnr, Felix, Duncthediver, Fat Dale soon after. Jawed a bit then headed out Barrow way (A590) to see the barns, then up the Greenodd-Grizebeck road, then Valley End and on up to Sellafield, Cockermouth, Keswick via Whinlatter and A66 Penrith to Hartside for lunch (late!). Back down to Penrith, run down Shap at huge speeds then fuel, the A684 into Sedbergh then Hawes, Leyburn, Ripon and home. We saw about 30 seconds worth of rain on the visors going into Hawes but otherwise wall to wall sunshine, perfect roads and great craic. A really great start to the year. 300 miles I think. I'll post some pics tomorrow when I get back to work. Thanks to those who got out, it made it a great day.

Well I would have made it but my mates Triumph 675 decided it didn't like it's alarm anymore and refused to start. Took battery out of my Multi to get him started and everyone thought mine had broken down giving it all about Italian electrics. Got sick of explaining. Eventually got going but didn't make Devil's 'til about 2:30pm. Did 9 hours today which I didn't think were bad after climbing Sca Fell Pike yesterday.

Hey Pete - Don't 'undersell' me, after all, it was 4 miles each way.!;)

Two pics of the one I've just completed. this is the larger one at 6 metres, the other was just 4. Spec is 304 stainless satin brushed fittings couple with 10mm toughened glass with polished bevelled safety edges. They look rather tasty I reckon.

Handrail yet to fit, you can see the upstands for them - the rails will be made, by ourselves, to a custom designed cross section in solid scandinavian oak, oiled to match the flooring and additional woodwork.
