A few pics of what we were doing Monday, beautiful weather. For information - at Rosedale Head, North York Moors, about a mile from the Lion Inn.

Rosedale head comes up down sarf in google maps.
Any other clues/village names?
 
google doesn't cover all the known world eh?


OK, Lastingham, Hutton-le-Hole, Castleton or Pickering will get you close.
 
Just been reliably informed (via Ordnance Survey - doh!) that the village is actually called Rosedale Abbey. Rosedale Head being a non-specific term referring to the general area at the top of the dale. Anyway, it's a very nice place and, if you're interested, a very nice road. A little uneven, nay corrugated, in parts, and festooned with vacant, rambling, stupid sheep. The road runs from Hutton-le-Hole north to Castleton and out to Whitby via Scalings Dam. Yep, I've mended my one puncture today, fitted two seats and ushered 7 snotty kids out of the door. I hate school holidays. And kids. :D
