Thank goodness for that

Well thank goodness for that, it started right up and everything worked.
I’ve done a bit of work on my 916 over the winter. Fitted mono subframe and loom, fitted new slightly higher bars, replaced my dodgy cam followers and set all the valve clearances, replaced all the fuel lines, connectors and filter, did a full service and replaced the cam belts and replaced the top half of the front forks to get rid of some corrosion.Today it started first time and no leaks so far!
Now time for an MOT

Went through the MOT fine after deciding the front brake switch wouldn’t work, even though it was working fine the night before! Had to borrow one from my ST4s to get it through
The new handlebars seem slightly more comfortable and tester was more interested in the open clutch than the open pipes!
Just need to get a few shake down rides done before going to the TT in about a months time

Just back from the TT and the 916 behaved itself very well, only a loose connection to temp gauge sensor, quickly fixed.
The new clip ons are definitely more comfortable, I can still move my wrists even after 500 miles in 6 days.
Unfortunately due to weather and postponed/ cancelled races I didn’t get to the Italian Bike Night.
Saw lots of great bikes but not another 916

I saw one with a ton of luggage just off the ferry near Heysham the other day in a group of about 30 bikes, and that's the only one I focused on.

Absolutely fair play to you 🙏 most bikers have become wussys and we need a bike specific to the task instead of loving and using what they own 👌big miles on a 916 deserves mucho respect 👍
