robotic underfloor sludge vaccume

having been in the new house for 3 months now and the slight whiff of the drain smell in the kitchen hasn't diminished, I finally pulled some of the floor up and found a bit of the push-fit waste had become disconnected slightly and hence there is a pool of dishwater and associated bits of rice and fat globules under the whole of the kitchen floor.

waste pipe replaced but the pool of scum remains, Ive scraped what i can reach easily out (a pleasant job disturbing all the sediment ) but there is still a vast amount of crud under there (about 15 m2)

im hoping it will 'dry out' but i think that might take a while at this time of year

any advice aside from lifting the whole floor to clean up properly ~:?

hi ,if you can find one try a wet & dry vacum cleaner ,had similar problem used one easily cleaned afterwards , good luck

Elbow grease, just get in about it and you'll have it done in no time and get the worst of it over

Slightly off the topic I know, but never mind...

A few months ago I was the relief manager at a small delivery office in West Lancs and there was a terrible smell in the bit where they store all the parcels that are waiting to be collected. As there was a big drain pipe that ran down through the room everyone assumed that it was the drains to blame. So I called in our property maintenance people & one Saturday afternoon they rocked up & emptied the room out, whereupon the smell mysteriously disappeared from there & re-appeared in my office where the packets were now being stored......

The offending packet contained a few dozen (already dead....) chicks, destined for a guy who had a load of exotic pets. But he'd forgot to come & pick it up, for 3 months.....uke:
