Hello again :lol2:
Well done for posting in exactly the right section. I thought there were more suggested routes here but apparently not!
I did a canny run up to Coldstream recently:

Other fun routes:
Alston, Hartside cafe - especially via the A69 as
Langley Castle is well worth calling in for afternoon tea - seriously! Bikers very welcome.
For a longer run, then back to Alston and down to Barnard Castle via the B6277, sketchy in places (gravel) but good views and quiet roads.
Elsewhere, the infamous 'Helmsley TT' route is still fun, avoid weekends, sadly - A19 South to the A174 (full 360° leaving the exit!), then B1365 to quaint Stokesley, good fish & chips on the high street, then for main course the B1257 road, careful up Clay Bank, then as much 'progress' as you care to make... for the next 14 miles.
Helmsley is great to wander around, a castle and hidden outdoor heated swimming pool, I discovered recently. Rievaulx Abbey is nearby for a stop off or return the same way.
You probably know of the Wetlands meets Wed/Sun at the Wildfoul Centre on the A1231, but shutting down for winter soon I imagine.
Any other routes, I'd be glad to know of myself, check out ...

(Great title but, the 'Iconic' routes are not mine - lol)
