Spotted on Wetherby road at 2:15pm riding with an R1. The first one I've seen on the road and it looked pretty small, sounded great too. It also had a very cool plate.

Hi

May have been me depending on the "Cool Plate". Was out on a cancer charity ride out that day and ended in Hawes.
My plate is very much to do with the model of bike !!!! also was wearing Ducati padock jacket and Black Shoe helmet with jeans !!!!!!

I "spotted" him again yesterday! Donnington Park No Limits trackday. Nice guy. Two Desmos in the same garage. They didn't do too many laps, but it was very slippy and we left at 3 after just four sessions. I'll put pics up later.

Donny Desmo's

Hey guys... The two Desmo's at Donny have handlers called Gary and Jonathan... Gary's a mate of mine.. Lives out at Well, North Yorks. He's got a stable of Duc's. Effin' good chap. Bloody good rider. Jonathan is an acquaintence of mine. Met him for the first time couple of years ago when he came over to Italy for the World Ducati Week. He had a 999R on the trip. Lovely bike in the Xerox colours. You may have seen Graham at Donny too. Xerox 1098S. Freezin' his bo*&0cks off, hangin' in the wings... :)

All 3 of them are as mad as hatters, when Ducati & bikes are the subject of discussion. WDW07 was great fun with Graham & Jonathan to see which could pull the longest wheelie Bumped into Gary & Jez last Thursday at DL's Triumph opening night. both looked well. Shame it was cold at Donny yesterday though...

had a good natter with Graham, he turned up briefly to spectate and get wet. the two desmos did two laps only. it wasn't that cold, just wet in the pm.

Did they have the race pipes on Pete on the road pipes?

Freak, I can confirm that Gary has the race pipes in, not sure about Jonathan though? However I'll guess that if Gary has his race pipe on, that Jonathan probably would aswell?

£99, full noise day, full GP circuit, no problems, very slow lap times in the wet. they did two laps each and got scared.

They're just a pair of @@@@ing pansies! I did 2.12 for full lap, in the wet with knackered and blue supercorsas on. Commando style too innit!

on the monster

did they say they stopped because they were scared or were they black flagged for the loud pipes?

tbh, everyone knows that Donington is super slippy in the wet and I wouldn't take the risk with my bike there, let alone a Desmo, just not worth it

yeah but sometimes you have to ride in the wet, you can't run away from it, may as well practise somewhere safe.

Notice said van in the background to collect the bike, but no someone wanted to ride the thing in monsoon conditions  needless to say after 40 miles I stopped an insisted it go in the back of the van because I could barely see myself
