Accident A 697 Northumberland.

Sunday 17th May. I'm away at work, phoned the better half & she is crying. Apparently she heard a loud 'bang' outside the house & ran outside to see what had happened. Imediately saw a 'red bike with gold forks' (ducati?) on its side & at full revs, it then died. She looked up & down the road for the rider but couldn't find him. A few car drivers began searching & eventually found him 100m up the road in a ditch. He was coherent (good), got him away in an ambulance etc etc.
Hope he is o.k. & recovering.

Yes indeed it was me!! just tooted me horn past yours on way down and then the killer pheasant struck!! Injuries repairing now so all will be good!!:D
 
By the way it was saturday 15.20hrs ish that it happened, not good but all will repair, although at the age of 54 my body does not seem to want to repair as quickly as I would want!!!:D

A697 accidents

We were travelling to Hull for ferry on Sat. 15th weekend before and Dutch motorcyclist had misjudged corner on 697 between Greenlaw and Coldstream. We stopped to help, he was ok, maybe dislocated shoulder and broken finger. Ambulance arrived.
He was travelling in a group on way to Newcastle to return home following holiday in Scotland.
