Parked up on A5890 this evening near Levens?
Waited around for a while as you had obviously got probs but guess you had gone to get help. Hope you get it sorted!
 
Well I passed this morning and it was still there, I thought I would leave it as I was coming back the same way and it was early when I was passing - bike still there so I took the reg and pulled in next to a local Police car to report / offer recovery to a safer place.


Police, did a PNC check and found the owner, I offered my number in case owner was struggling - all is OK and it should be being recovered as I type, it seems to have suffered a blowup of some variety.

Gorgeous example, nice open Termi's very clean, I guess it was just lucky that it survived the night without being lifted - hope after investigation there is a happy ending to the engine problems !
 
Blimey - that wouldn't of lasted 5mins where I'm originally from...bloody lucky it's still there and in 1 piece :eek:

We live in a very low crime area however it was on the very main road, I was purely going to offer the van up to get it somewhere safer, as I say though the Police tracked down its owner very quickly, amazingly so ;) in fact and were told recovery wouldn't be long !

Nope, I didn't lay a finger on it, once I saw where it was I was amazed it was still there, it looked all scared stood there on its own, I had to do something !
 
Ian? Thanks for the info. i must admit im really suprised that it survived over night. I left it reluctantly yesterday having driven to Prizet Services to see if the guy had gone for petrol. Didn't imagine it would be left overnight. I should be interested to know where the owner is from. I bet he had a sleepless night! Well done for checking it out this morning.

Bike is from Barrow - as for the owner, you really don't want to know ;)
