My son and his girlfriend, from San Francisco, have been in Minnesota since August. He has a new job and is able to work remotely. She is also working remotely at her same job for the time being. They will move on to Washington DC when the COVID coast is clear. We did a few trackdays with my bikes last Fall(their bikes are in storage in DC) and hope to do the same this Spring. I will try to put together a thread from our trackdays when I can. Bear in mind, you won't see my knee down...I have a ways to go before that will happen.
I have a 2018 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, 2003 Monster 620 Dark, 2020 KTM RC390 and my most recent Christmas gift a 2021 Panigale V2😍. She is the big Little Sister of the family.
I also sold my VW Atlas and got a Ford Expedition. Now I don't have to be as careful about towing weight capacity. I also have more cargo space for hunting trips. I wanted to get a Defender(I loved the LR3 I had) but the Defender is too small and I don't like how they roll in the turns. The Expedition handles awesome. It also has deployable running boards. Important for my Mom and a friend battling brain cancer(he has physical deficits and I take him to therapy) to get in and out easily.
Meanwhile we have had some construction going on. There is a snowstorm that started today so roofers will be clearing snow off our new garage next week before shingling it. The concrete apron and driveway and a few interior finishes will have to wait till Spring. Covid caused so many material delays and frustrations. I keep telling my husband, who is very annoyed by this, "It will get done!"
Some of you know I am a Trump supporter. Talk about being annoyed...time to double down for the next election. As predicted, gas prices are already going up and it's only a matter of time before taxes will follow. We are not distracted by the rhetoric, the media shitshow, this poll and that. For us it's real life and the bottom line and it has only gotten better these past few years. We are bracing for what's to come these next few years and hope it's not too bad and that's as optimistic as it gets.
Lastly and on a lighter note, the avatar is a print my son and gf had done of our dogs for Xmas. Not something we would have had done but we love it!

Thanks for the updates, I know you keep busy anyway. As to the trump situation, politicians of all kinds are peculiar people. I still have ex family and friends in Sturgis and they are not best pleased. On the gas prices , buddy over there reckons thier gas has gone up to $2.32 on regular and $2.92 on premium per gallon.

Hows the shooting going on, still keeping the club busy? The v2 does look best in white, quite lovely, needs the pillion pegs taken off though :D. Stay safe (y)

Yes gas went up .30 in the past 2 weeks for 87octane, not sure about premium.
Trying to decide if I want to coach the trap & skeet team this Spring. Feeling an obligation to the kids and families, also fear I might miss them-they're my kind of people. Because of COVID, the league changed the structure of the seasons. They are shorter, and rules are loosened up, rightly so yet, it loses the competitive feel and I don't think the playing field is as level. We approached last Fall season as "training". I have a 15 year old shooting trap scores 98 and 99's out of 100 consistently
A few other's aren't far behind. That is also motivating for me.
Pillion pegs? Funny. My husband, Paul, sat on the bike last night in the garage and I hopped on behind him. Of course we didn't go anywhere as he doesn't ride and there is snow on the ground. It did remind me of the only time I rode "bitch" on a sportbike. Many years ago Paul's longtime friend, Paul, took me for a 100+mph ride on his GSXR. That sold me on Sportbikes. Sadly he died last month at 51 yrs old. He dropped dead in his apartment, best way to go. He lived fast and died fast. Friends are gathering tomorrow to party and do Jag shots in his memory. We will opt out and stay home to do Jag shots...which fortunately happens to be my choice of drink.
 
Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend Faith but as you say he lived a short life but a full one so quick is the best way. Enjoy the shots and you and the family keep safe (y)
 
hello. I haven't been on the DUN forum for years.... I still have my 750ss although I haven't ridden it for years - its "in storage" at work. In the meantime I had a 999 which was nice! Sold that a few years ago. My current collection is an RD350LC, 750ss, 1200GS and a mint Bultaco Sherpa 250 which really needs to go as I don't use it :-( Anyway, I now have my eye on an 848 Evo. I need to make my mind up this weekend about it so would really appreciate any comments about it good, bad or ugly! Its good to be back... cheers! Paul.

Welcome (back) 👍. The 848 Evo is a great bike and one which appears to be sought out but for me, just as @BobTheBounder says above it’s riding position is a little too extreme these days, I mean I never ride my 998S since I bought the Multi V4 😕, but each to their own.

If you want to sell the Bultaco then @Dirty Leeds is the man he seems to have an addiction for buying trials bikes 🤣.
 
Thanks all. Umm... i'm 56 with all that comes with it :oops:. Maybe I'm too old for that sort of shenanigans...?! Oh god, you've thrown me into an existential midlife crisis I thought I had avoided😧! Maybe I should just get a Harley and be done with it?!
