Winter Project

No need to put all the clutch back together. They're only piddly wee M5 allen screws that hold the sprocket retainer on. I'd jam a hardwood block between the sprocket and the crankcase to stop it turning. That will easily allow you to undo the screws without damaging anything.

Lol. By the time you get back from Kiev with yur new Russian bride you'll have forgotten how it goes the gither :p :D

Heheheh...actually the guy who lives opposite Mum and Dad met his wife on the internet. She's Russian, and to go over there and bring her back he had to sell his bike to get the funds. Now she won't let him buy another one :ballchain: :D

Looks like you are making progress but this was supposed to be a "WINTER PROJECT"

It be finished by November;) ;)

Have fun in Kiev, Moffat isn't quite the same.........

Just to keep this thread going and up to date...I am now officially crapping myself at how much this project has cost already...and feeling quite physically sick at the prospect of how much more I still need to spend

There's a good chance I may have to sell the 750 :(

Maybe if you'd spent less money galivanting halfway round the world after a young lady you'd be able to afford to do the bike? Not so much fun though ;)
Wasn't the idea of a second bike to have one availbale for track days? You don't need to spend anything on cosmetics for a track bike and if you want to use the 900 on the road, swap over the best bits from the 750 and limit your make over to paint job initially. Do the rest as you can afford it.

I think your going at it too fast.If its a winter project then you'll have until at least April before your able to ride it.
Write off the cost of buying it,and then treat it like a monthly hobby, you dont need to get everything done at once.
I've got a couple of 'projects',my problem isnt money, more the time I get to do stuff without being hassled.

It was supposed to be a winter project, but I need to get it finished by the beginning of December now, as I’m not going to be here until April. I want to be able to come back and just climb on. It’ll be fine…I'm just on a come down from being away that’s all :D

Dave...you asked about the ceramic coating a while back...well they arrived this morning - here's a picture. The finish is superb, I'm really chuffed with it. It came to £131 inc P&P.
