The first tool wouldn’t work on these as both sides of the pincers are the same thickness and there’d be no room for the larger part of the clip to clip over the thinner lip. The second tool would work perfectly though, if only I knew what the clips were called.

I don't think it is a dog ear (single or double), but we are seeing the arse end of it.., can you show us the other side?... does it have a ratchet style band that slides over a tooth?

Ah, my MV had those on the fuel lines, I bought the tool which undoes and fastens them and use the same tool for the single use Ear jobbies
I believe they are Clic-R clamps if they're off the prilia Paul,
They are Chris, I bought these a couple of years ago, they're actually cheaper now!

They are indeed. They’re easy enough to get off with a small electrical screwdriver by flipping the catch undone but need a special tool to reset them. Normal pliers and pincers get in the way of the catch clicking home.
