They used to have a bit in reserve when riding at the TT, not any more.
They are spinning the rear wheel the same as they do on short circuits.
I remember watching Michael on the GSXR1000 in the Superbike race and he was bloody sideways going through Conker Trees. You could smell the burning rubber.
This is a good documentary albeit a few years old.
I was talking to a couple of lads from Yorkshire the other day on the Island.
They had come over as foot passengers a few years back, they intended to run to their digs which were about 6 miles from Douglas.
After a couple of miles they were knackered and decided to put their thumb out.
A van pulled up and the girl in the passenger seat asked where they were going and then told them to hop in the back seats of the van.
One of the lads asked the girl and the male driver where they were watching tomorrow’s race.
The girl said she was watching at the Grandstand but he’ll be racing.
The driver turned round and it was James Hillier!!
I can’t remember if they said the girl was James’s sister or wife. Top lad is James.
