Only bike dealer left is Shirlaws in Aberdeen and they are now owned by a car dealership so probably not going to be useful as I doubt any of the Shirlaw family work there any more 🤔

I can ask a mate in the removals trade, he should be able to recommend someone local. When I got the pansexual I had it delivered by Chas Mortimer. He arrived with. 4 bikes in his van so also worth a shout.
 
I had to move three bikes from Ayr to county Durham back in the summer. I tried several bike couriers in Scotland and none of them got back to me. I then read somewhere that it's very hard to get anyone to ship bikes across the border between England and Scotland. Don't know if that's true or just internet chatter, but if it is I'm guessing it's something to do with insurance.

If you've got a towbar on your car, the cheapest way is to hire a bike trailer and fetch it yourself.
When I bought my Triumph it was £450 to get a courier to fetch it from east London to Consett. The dealer agreed to split the cost with me to seal the deal as they didn't deliver. Even if they hadn't I'd have swallowed the cost because there's no way I'm going anywhere near Ulez Londonistan. But if I had collected it myself diesel and trailer hire would have been a lot cheaper than that. I reckon Aberdeenshire to Hull would be about £600.

Could be a good little number being a bike courier. The free-lance lad who delivered my Triumph got £450 for taking it from London to just south of Newcastle and he picked up three more on the way and had another three to pick that day for delivery in the morning. He said he would be picking up and delivering about twelve bikes over a 48 hour period. At around 200 to 500 quid a pop that's not a bad screw. Though getting your head around route planning and scheduling must be a bit of a nightmare. And I expect his insurance is sky-high.
But if you like driving around in vans and not knowing where you're going to sleep at night and you don't mind living on pasties and pringles or visiting the lawless dysfunctional jungle that is everywhere south of Harrogate it's probably not a bad job.

It’s 800 miles somewhere between £200-£220 fuel, overnight stop £50 ish, greggs pasties £47
It actually needs to be £600 as a stand alone, hence why if you use chaz who by the way is no longer chaz Mortimer transport as he sold it on, they will do a price to reflect where they are going, same as me if I have work in Scotland earning £400-£500 I can move a bike back cheaper, £450 for a bike from London to consett is a lot of money and I doubt if I quoted that I would get the job but I’ll give it a shot 👍

I think it was these guys - delivered my Multistrada and collected my S1000RR to/ from Plymouth in 2020 for about £300 if I recall. There were about a week from collecting one to delivering the other, so the jobs fitted in with other jobs.

Or, how about hiring a van for a couple of days?

Well that aged well job cancelled in south wales so that mean south wales to Bedford will be cancelled as well joke of a career
