Role model doesn't mean follow exactly in his footsteps, that would be ridiculous. Yeah he was a fuck up but he figured it out and moved on. His football league (where he also coached his son) teaches necessary life skills through football and cheerleading. It is a very successful program.
We've watched him as a coach on The Voice and that provided even more insight about his life philosophies.
As a former coach myself, half my job was teaching qualities that make athletes upstanding people and the importance of a positive mental game despite setbacks. I had several assistant coaches. They all had expertise in different areas but they all were expected to teach those same qualities.
Judge Snoop Dogg because of his pot use or how much he can make because he is a celebrity(someone is sounding like my mother-in-law

)? So be it, but he has inspired a lot of young people. I wouldn't expect everyone to like him but give him credit where credit is due.
