Northern Rail (Wankaz) Whitby Station car park ban motorcycle parking!

Just a thought but, according to the BMF article, there is a bike night at the cafe near to the station and it sounds as though the bikers are using the station carpark to attend the cafe's bike night. It also sounds like the station manager does not like his carpark being used by customers' of another business. Of course this is a bit of supposition but if I'm right its the bikers being unreasonable not the station manager and the BMF are sounding like an social media victim.

2 sides to every story. I can't believe that a train station car park would ban users turning up on bikes.

Still, I remain in my position of fuck the train :ROFLMAO:

It's actually on the platform and hence pay the lease fee to Northern Rail for their business.

There is (or was) a cross hatched area directly in front of the cafe marked free parking for customers motorcycles but that only held about 8 bikes - you can see it in the image...

The rest of the car park used to be free for motorcycles but that was changed over 5 years ago so they then had to pay at the machine for a ticket like the cars. It will be interesting if it is legal for them to bad a paying motorcycle from a parking space.

Stevie, Whitby and North Yorkshire county council in general, hate bikes, they've been trying to fuck us off for years, I think Northern rail are pissed because if we parked in the station carpark you can fit minimum four bikes in a bay, only one of us would pay, the greedy feckers wanted all the bikes to pay. All motorcycle parking in the UK should be secure and free, including private or public parking facilities funded by taxpayers which we are all!
 
I suspect the car park is the only money making side for Northern rail
It appears during the week there are only 5 trains to and from the station and they only go to Middlesbrough.
I doubt there are many passengers
It's a massively popular seaside resort and parking is at a premium.

Whitby is 40 miles from my house. I can catch a train in the village and I can get to Whitby. Its £80 and takes 5 hours. Hull - York- Middlesborough-Whitby.

I don't go to Whitby in the Summer

It's better to park up at Clara's Café anyway up near the Whale Bones - much better coffee too...

Wankaz, you can fit 2 mutley's and 2 gsa's in one bay, they haven't reversed they're compromising, gone are the days when you could park the bike alongside the harbour for free and go get some fish and chips. N. Yorkshire council of to the fuck off thread with ya!
