Multistrada V2 better than the V4 - Controversial?

Different horses for different courses for different pockets. It’s neither better nor worse than the V4 but, I’d lay money on the fact that if anyone were to ride the V2 and the V4 back to back they’d want the V4, that engine is just fantastic, oh, and I bet the V2 doesn’t pull power wheelies at 60mph when changing from 3rd to 4th gear. Nah, I’m happy, I’ll stick 👍

I need to keep away from this engine WCP, that bloody SF will not leave my mind!! If you keep on you’re going to empty my wallet!
These power wheelies you mention, are they intentional or accidentally?

They are almost identical torque to your SFS and a good bit heavier so test ride one first, it's not all about BHP 👀

Yeah, like 600's are the perfect road bike so nobody bought them and they don't bother making them anymore coz there's 1200's 🤣🤣

Couldn't agree with this, had a go on a GSXR 600, awful revvy thing it was, you had to scream it to get it anywhere - more cc is much more relaxing and effortless for overtakes. 👀

I had a GSXR600 for a day. Nothing there under 10k revs. I simply couldn't take it seriously as a road bike.

OTOH the GSXR750 i was lent ... wowser. Effortless speed. I could not believe the speed I got to on it without really trying.

I had a GSXR600 and went like fuckin' stink. It did have a full remap, a full yoshi system, a power commander, better carbs etc (and different gearing) but it was an absolute joy to ride. I wrung its neck everywhere, outrode many and thoroughly enjoyed it. I could scrape the footrests, and there are not many that manage that and still keep rubber side down.

Next bike up was a 1000 - a ZX10R...jesus H christ, I thought I was gonna either meet my maker or lose my licence every time I went out. It was just insane, power wheelies in 3rd and 4th two up...overtakes and over 180 on the (corrected by Speedo healer) clock. I never knew whether I loved it or was scared of it :D

However, although it was faster by a way than my Gixer, and it looked the dogs in its tricky race livery - I had to sell it after a year before it killed me or I was locked up.

I then ended up with a Daytona 675 next which sat somewhere in the middle ;) You can indeed have too much grunt on the roads. ;)

As you mention Triumph, They have just launched a tiger sport 660 and the reviews give it as a better all round real world bike than their 1215 explorer

Unintentional JAT. I was doing 80kmh in 3rd behind a lorry, the road ahead straightened, I opened the throttle to overtake got to 10Krpm, full throttle, flicked it up into 4th (QS) and up came the front wheel and I’m now doing 140kmh in quicker time than it’s taken you to read that. It gave me a fright, I don’t mind saying 😮. And….. I was only in Touring mode so medium engine power 😮.

Fortunately I had the GoPro on so could replay that bit and see exactly what happened and when and at what speed.

It’s very easy to ride it very very quickly, to easy to get to highly illegal, licence loosing speeds, as it’s just so effortless and there’s really good wind protection.

I’m sure the SFV4S is even more aggressive, although being a naked you’d know when you’re going fast.
