Gone and bought a Cagiva Mito (with a 350YPVS motor in it!)

Hi Folks,
I thought this crazy contrivance would entertain some of you!

I've recently picked up a 2002 Cagiva Mito 125 (the 916 looky-likey model) but the previous owner has grafted a Yammy 350 YPVS donk into it :eek:, pretty roughly I might add, but with a little bit of effort and some more mods, I think it'll be absolutely hillarious fun round Knockers next summer.
I've despatched her to a mate of mine who is a stinkwheel obsessive and he's going to redo the all the engine bits, wiring etc. Chassis wise I've trial fitted a set of 916 forks which go straight into the bottom yokes, all you need is a std 916 top yoke and bingo! These will be resprung appropriately once I've established total weight and weight bias. An RGV rear shock also fits (and I happen to have a handy WP RGV unit under my bench). I'll post some pictures once I've made some progress and hopefully some of you guys will see it next year (if you can see through the blue smoke obviously!!) :D

Ring, ding, ding, ding, dinga-ding! (fingers crossed - not followed by "Nnyeeep..........!!)

sounds like it'll be a right hoot to ride, always liked the little 125's, Linzi had an Aprilia RS for while, amazing fun to ride. Not sure on the 916 forks though, you might want something a bit lighter cos every gm of weigh saved helps when you have zero HP. would RS250 Aprilia 41mm forks not be a bit more suitable?
 
thought about doing this myself
keep us informed as to how it works out but i am sure it will be a hoot
how about rgv forks
thinking 916 would make it front end heavy
 
After a friend of a friend doing something similar and ending up dead to an overwhelmed chassis at high speeds, I would say for gods sake please be careful.
 
Is this the same bike that was at the Ace Cafe 2 stroke get together recently?
"YAGIVA" on the bellypan?
