So what do you think , Original mudguard verses Monster mudguard ? ?

Flimsy , Well yes , its only some sort of thermo plastic so not very strong , I'm going to have to search through the scrap bin at work and find some alluminium so I can knock up a fork brace.

Decided against a hugger style guard as I did'nt want to come across as a USD wanabee :D :D Though if anyone has a spare set of 900SS or 916/748 forks and yokes laying about i might be interested ;)

As for the original , it's strong enough but totally overwhelms the front end of the bike imo and looking somewhat like an upturned row boat does'nt help :D

Oooooooooo, its a hard one.......dont really know what's best.

Think you need to paint the monster one red though.

Just an update ,After much deliberation I decided sod it and bought a USD front end from a 748/916 :D That should tidy up the front end some what ;)

Should make it easier to find and fit a red mudguard ;)

have you fitted it yet?
Its not the straight swap I was led to believe it would be , I could make it fit if I made up a new stem for the bottom yoke , but then theres the front wheel, speedo drive to sort and also the ignition switch mount . In all honesty the only problem I have with the M1R,s is they dive somewhat under braking in all other respects the forks are fine and the bike more than coped with the trip to France so I think I will bang the USD,s back on Ebay and rebuild the Marzocchi,s .

So that means you are back to square 1 with the mudguard then?
I have found that swopping things on Ducatis are never as easy as you think or are led to believe. All the trouble I had putting a tacho on the monster and then putting Led indicators on, never again!- :comp2:
