Flat slide carbs

Anyone here familiar with Keihin FCR carbs who might be able to point me in the right direction?

One of my bikes, Monster 900. It was running absolutely fine. It’s been on loan to a customer whilst his bike was being repaired. I had to collect it the other day because the starter solenoid was faulty and the starter motor was spinning all the time. Anyway fixed that but now it starts but won’t run 😕.

There’s no choke for the carbs, they have an accelerator pump, so the starting procedure is open/close the throttle a few times which primes the carbs, press the button and it starts up. But it only runs for a very short while until the fuel squirted in in the priming process has been burnt. 2 twists & it runs for maybe 1/2 to 1 second, 6 twists and it runs for 2-3 seconds, but it won’t run or tick over after that.

There’s obviously fuel getting to the carbs or the start process wouldn’t work. It’s as though the internals of the carbs are blocked preventing the fuel from flowing in under normal circumstances.

Does anyone have a schematic of the Kehin FCR carb please? I’m off to do some googling.
