Ever Red extended warranty

it looks like I'll not be swapping the 999 when it gets to 2 years old and with the new cheaper servicing options it makes sense to consider getting the Ever Red 1 year extended warranty just to be on the safe side. I had a quick chat to Charlie at Leeds about it and its available on bikes up to 18 months old but I can't find any more details on Ducati UK website or even with a Google search. I know it provides the same European breakdown cover but not much else, has anyone added it to their bike yet?

As you know Michael I was informed of this by a Ducati dealers mechanic, but it was never mentioned by the sales floor and certainly not from Ducati UK which you think could be a bit of a money spinner for them really.

I had it for the last 12 months on th 996 and very greatful of it too, i must look into renewing it. recovered me 4 or 5 times and replaced the entire clutch system, header tank, steering damper bracket + other bits and bobs all parts and labour.

It's well worth it.It runs exactly like your existing warranty(cover wise):D it is the best warranty on any bike on the market no question.I think it is sub £200 on your bike so get it.

EXtended warranty

Hi,
I took out the extended warranty but I thought it wasn't available on bikes purchased second hand via say MCN or ebay. I suppose a dealer can provide the answer to this. I think from memory this was raised on the DSC site some years ago. When I purchased my bike from Ducati Glasgow I was informed by Berto that I had to take the cover out within 18 months. When you purchase a bike from the dealer I think it automatically comes with this cover if it's out of warranty. Could be wrong but I'm sure someone will correct me on this.

Geoff

Avail on all Ducati's up to their 18 month birthday(date of reg)Irrespective of whether bought private or from a dealer(conditions apply).I think it was only avail up to 6 months from d.o.r in the past but they changed it in 05 I think.:lol2:

The Ever Red Warranty is available up to 18 months from the date of registration.
This product can be passed onto the next keeper if the vehicle is sold in the first 3 years, however will still only cover the vehicle up until 3 years from date of first registration.

This product can also be purchased on the initial date of sale meaining the new customer can choose to purchase their new machine with 3 years european wide breakdown cover and warranty.

We as a dealer can supply a pre-loved Ducati with an Ever Red but the customer has up until 18 months to purchase one on a new bike.

Some dealers do not use Ever Red as it very much more expensive than standard insurance based warranties (the usual on other non-Ducati)
We at Ducati Glasgow supply all of our pre-loved Ducati Motorcycles with this product.

The price for this product varies dependant on model and carries a few stipulations.

The two main aspects of these are below.

1) The bike must be a UK bike supplied by a UK authorised Ducati Dealer.
2) In the first 18 months, all servicing and repair must be completed as per schedule by an authorised Ducati Dealer.

If anyone has any other questions please call us or your local dealer.

Mart:D
